About Me

Hi! I’m Jaycee.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I received my Bachelor of Arts from San Francisco State University and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sonoma State University. I have experience working as a therapist in a variety of settings with a wide range of ages. I also have experience as a Registered Behavior Technician where I worked with children who were experiencing behavior and emotional difficulties. My heart has always been drawn to helping those in need but I found my love of therapy through my own journey of healing. I learned firsthand that, while this process can have its challenges, it also brings tremendous growth and personal strength.

While my approach is grounded in attachment and person-centered theories, I also use techniques from other therapeutic models including play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior therapy, art therapy, and more. I believe that as the client, you are the expert on your life, but you can use therapy as a way to better understand your experience, ease your suffering, build your personal strengths, and create the life you want to live. As your therapist, I will be authentic, empathetic, compassionate, honest, kind, caring, and non-judging. I believe the most important part of therapy is building a strong foundation of trust and rapport between us that will allow you to flourish and reach your goals.

I appreciate you taking the time to consider me as your potential therapist. Finding the right therapist can be time consuming and intimidating but it is important to make sure you find the therapist who supports you in the ways that you need. You deserve to feel safe, seen, heard, respected, and comfortable while you work to improve your overall well-being. I know how hard it can be to reach out for support when you need it most but am so excited that you have taken this first step. You CAN do this and I’m here to help!
